Where should I stay?​​​

​​​The IIA has arranged for conference delegates to enjoy special discounts on accommodations. Each of the conference hotels is located within easy commuting distance to the ICC ​​Sydney​, where the conference will be held.

​What does the conference registration fee include?

  • Up to 18 CPE credits when you attend the full conference. You can also earn additional CPE by participating in pre-conference sessions.
  • Admission to all keynote and concurrent sessions.
  • Access to the conference app and other conference materials. 
  • ​Welcome Coffee on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; lunch on Monday and Tuesday; and mid-morning and mid-day refreshments.​​
  • Opportunities to interact with exhibitors and sponsors in the exhibit hall.
  • Entrance to social events with networking opportunities, including the Welcome Reception and The IIA's "L.I.V.E. the Global Experience" ​Gala.​​​​

​Does the CIA Exam Review course cost extra?

An additional fee of AUD$360 is required to attend each part of the CIA Exam Review track. You must pre-register for this stream. The additional fee includes The IIA's CIA Learning System® Version 4.0 print and online study materials.​

​What is your payment policy?

All costs referred to are in Australian dollars (AUD), and all payments must be made in that currency. The online registration platform is a secured site. Major credit cards (American Express, Visa, and MasterCard) are accepted. Payments by wire/bank transfer must be made within 30 days from date of invoice or 30 days prior to conference commencement date, whichever occurs first, or your registration will be cancelled.

Wire transfers must be in AUD. Delegates with outstanding payments will be asked for payment onsite or for proof of payment. If one of these cannot be supplied, the delegate will be refused admission to the conference..​​

​How many CPE credits are available and how will I receive​ them?

When you attend this conference, you are eligible for up to 18 continuing professional education (CPE) credits. The number of credits you receive is contingent on the number of sessions you attend. The IIA's educational programs are acceptable for fulfilling CPE requirements, which ensure that internal auditors comply with the specific standards on education in The IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Your CPE certifica​te will be emailed to you four to six weeks post-conference.​

​Do you have a cancellation policy?

In the event of cancellation, written notification must be sent to The IIA’s 2017 International Conference Registration Headquarters (c/o Arinex) by email iia2017@arinex.com.au​, or faxing +61 2 9267 5443.

Please note: Email is the preferred method to receive written cancellations.

The following cancellation rates will apply:

  • Cancellation​s received by 2 June 2017 will incur a AUD$200 administrative fee.
  • Cancellations received from 3 June through 30 June 2017 will incur a AUD$650 administrative fee.
  • There are no refunds for cancellations received after 1 July 2017.
  • All refunds will be processed and issued no later than 30 days after the event.​​

​Will photos and v​ideos be taken?

Registration and attendance at or participation in IIA conferences and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to The IIA’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities.​
